NEWLAND HOUSE MUSEUM   Est. 1898

Home of William & Mary Newland
The stunningly preserved home of William & Mary Newland stands as a testament to our Society's dedication to historical preservation. Restored from its abandoned condition in 1976 by the Historical Society, the 1898 Queen Anne style Victorian Farmhouse remains a treasured part of our community. The Historical Society maintains the Newland House Museum as part of a proud public-private partnership with the City of Huntington Beach.

MUSEUM TOURS 
1st & 3rd weekends, 
8AM - NOON

The Newland House is open on the 1st and 3rd weekends of the month between 8AM - Noon for tours led by our volunteer docents. Admission is a suggested $2 donation for adults, $1 for children.

Educational Programs & Living History

Special house tours for schools or groups can be scheduled by emailing HBHistory@aol.com. This includes a tour of the house, garden, and grounds. Activity sheets and suggestions available. Suitable for California history programs.

Newland Barn Weddings & Events
During the restoration of the Newland House, the modern barn building in the rear was constructed to serve as a community centre for events. This building is now owned and managed by the City of Huntington Beach, please follow this link for all inquiries:
